EVENT DETAILS
Catan Club LA is proud to host its second annual, official CATAN Championship Qualifier! The tournament will be held at the fandom-inspired gaming store & community space, Geeky Teas & Games in the Los Angeles, California neighborhood of Burbank.
The qualifier winner will win a guaranteed seat* at the 2024 United States Championship in Minneapolis, MN (exact location and date TBD), where they will be competing to become the 2024 CATAN United States Champion who will move on to the 2025 CATAN World Championship!
* Winner responsible for own expenses, including travel, lodging, etc.

SKILL LEVEL: While all levels are welcome, we recommend Intermediate or above mastery
AGENDA (in Pacific Time)
11:30 am - Check-in begins
11:50 am - Check-in ends! Group explanation.
12:00 pm (sharp!) - Preliminary games begin. You'll play three consecutive rounds of Catan, totaling about 5+ hours.
5:30 pm - 7:30 approximately - Finals. The top 4 players from the Preliminaries will play at this one final table. (Note: In the case where there are over 28 players to begin with, we will have a Semi-Final round in between the third preliminary game and the final game, where the top 16 players of the qualifiers will play one single-elimination game, yielding the top 4 players who will move on to the Final game. Those top 4 should be prepared to stay until about 9:00 pm.)

RULES
1. You MUST familiarize yourself with the Tournament Rules; the Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy; and the Photography & Video Policy.
2. No outside food allowed in. Outside non-alcoholic drink is ok. Venue has snacks and beverages for sale. Please also note that there are cats inside.
3. You'll check in before check-in time ends, or else you may have to forfeit your spot with no refund.
ELIGIBILITY
All participants must be residents of the United States and be 18+ years of age. You should be able to prove residency with an official ID card and/or a piece of mail (such as a utility bill) sent to a United States residential address. Winners of current season Qualifier Tournaments are not allowed to play in additional Qualifier events leading up to the next National Championship.
